How to Take a Screenshot or Send an Image in Live Trading Rooms | DTD

There are various ways to take a screenshot, and what you can do depends on the computer system that you have or device you are using.

A popular built-in tool on Windows systems is the Snipping Tool which allows you to take a screenshot of your computer screen and save the image.

Websites like this one here will help identify your device and possible options for taking a screenshot: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

When troubleshooting technical issues, sending screenshots can be a very effective way to help the tech team you're working with understand what you are experiencing. In our live trading rooms, you may be interested in sharing a screenshot of your P&L or stock charts you'd like to share with others.

Once you have your screenshot please follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Send File" icon that appears next to the text box.
  2. A prompt will appear at the top of the chat widget. Use the toggle to determine if you wish your image to send automatically once it's approved by a moderator, and then click "Upload file."
  3. Select the file to submit. It will go under admin review. You can delete the image before a moderator approved it if you change your mind.
  4. Once the image is approved, it will post to the chat automatically unless you toggled off the option to "Auto send when approved." In this case, the image will give you a prompt to send it yourself when approved. If the image is not approved, you'll receive an announcement notifying you why.
